Parents’ Association


            The Parents are recognised as partners in the education process and we welcome their participation. They meet
            on a regular basis and act as a representative body that:

            •  Represents the views of parents
            •  Fosters and maintains a spirit of cooperation between parents, teaching staff and school management
            •  Informs parents of the developments in education and in the school

            •  Provides information sessions on Substance Misuse, Study Skills, Internet Safety
            •  Improving and developing facilities in the school through fundraising endeavours
            Parents who wish to become actively involved in the school are welcome and encouraged to join the Parents’

            Opportunities for Parental Participation


            The support of parents is essential. Here at Royal School Cavan we facilitate and welcome the participation of
            parents in the following ways:

            •  Parents’ Association                           •  CAO information evening
            •  Parent Nominees on the Board of Management     •  TY information evening
            •   Facilitating TY work placements and panel     •  Graduation and Awards Nights
               members for TY Mock Interviews                 •  Annual Parent-Pupil-Teacher meetings
            •  Organising a Study Skills workshop for students  •  Personal appointments
            •  1st year information night
