AIB Build A Bank Challenge
Team P.E.A.C.H. Trust
The AIB Bank runs a competition each year for Transition Year students,
to open and run a bank within their school. The local branch manager
and her colleagues came to the school and interviewed the interested The team presenting Christine Wynne Mary McEvoy from SOSAD with a
students. Six students were chosen from these applicants and we were cheque for 200 from pizza lunch fundraiser
presented with the challenge of building and running a bank within
the school.
Team P.E.A.C.H. Trust from the Royal School Cavan was the creation of
these selected students. The letters of the word P.E.A.C.H. represents
the first letter of each of our names. Peace (Jameson), Emma (Bell),
Adam (Dunne), Adam (Syed), Colin (Dugdale) & Holly (Cunningham).
Trust is another name for a bank but it is also something you can rely
on which relates to our theme of positive mental health within our
school. As seen on our logo the peach is opened which symbolises
that the stone is a heart and that people should share how they are
feeling because REMEMBER!! IT’S OK NOT TO BE OK!!

We chose Teenline Ireland and SOSAD Cavan to fundraise for as we
wanted to build bridges between teenage mental health and mental
health in our future as it is an ongoing issue and we need support in
all stages of our lives. We felt as a team that this was imperative for our
school.
We raised over €1400 for Teenline through our tea morning, bag
packing, sponsored raffle and sponge throwing at our launch.
Our pizza day raised €200 for our local SOSAD office, who then came
in to talk to the 5th years.
We established long lasting links with 35 local businesses when we
personally looked for sponsorship for our raffle and in return we
advertised them on our social media which reaches 15 thousand Team P.E.A.C.H hand a cheque over to Teenline with the money raised
