In October 2016, three of the senior members of the
PROGRAMME Green Schools Committee went to Athlone to a Green
Schools water forum, which was organised by “An Taisce”.
Hi, my name is David Nzewi and I am the first student from the
Royal School Cavan to become a member of the Green Schools At the water forum Adam Chan, David Nzewi and Philip
Ambassador Programme. Speares listened to talks from other schools who had
received their water flag already. Using ideas given to us,
I was made aware of the programme by my green schools we came up with our own water plan that we could use
co-ordinator. Ms McElwaine explained the benefits of the in our school in order to obtain our own water flag and
programme in great detail. I gave in my application and in this prevent water waste. At the end, we presented our own
application I talked about the qualities I possessed that would be ideas and received goodie bags containing ideas and
of value to the programme. Thankfully it was accepted. devices to help us.
Our main objective was to learn, promote and discuss the water I feel it was a productive day that will help us with our
