ROYAL SCHOOL CAVAN MATHS WEEK
Maths week was run from the 17th to 23rd October Nationwide and in our school. Maths week is
a week enjoyed by all, as the different years take part in fun activities relating to maths.
Form two and three took part in the annual maths trail which in my opinion was the highlight of
the week. The maths trail is a trail organised by the TY pupils, it is a trail which contains a number
of challenging maths question that you work out as a team to solve. As part of maths week my
class and I entered a competition called “Maths Eyes”. “Maths Eyes” is where you take a photo of
something mathematical and caption it with a question.
I was very lucky as my entry has been shortlisted in the under 14 category and will be attending
the nationals with my teacher Ms. Dennigan and two other pupils with an entry shortlisted in the
under 19 category, Daniel Moorhead and Jamie McDowell.
