HISTORY WEEK
HISTORY
PRESENTATION
We organised history workshop for first and second years. In
these workshops we covered important Junior Cert material.
We were divided into groups and each group dealt with a
different topic. One group discussed the Stone Age with first
and second years and the other group did a presentation on
the Renaissance for first years. Both groups had interactive
activities that were both educational and fun. The remaining
students who weren’t included in teaching other years did HISTORY QUIZ
posters which were displayed throughout the school.

On Wednesday the 11th of November the Transition years
went on a history trip to the Ambassador Theatre in Dublin, to their different roles. Questions
and answers were gathered, teams were formed and prizes

We learnt about the War of Independence and the IRA hunger
strike in 1981. There was sound effects such as gun shots
throughout the exhibition.
When the expedition was finished we went to Blanchardstown
for lunch.
The two teachers who went on this trip with us were Mr Ames
and Miss Forde.
