Many thanks to Neven Maguire who visited our school to show his support and encouragement for our TY Mini Company ‘Wooden It’. This company are making quality hand crafted wooden products including their very popular breadboards which Neven was delighted to endorse. Wooden It are one of 11 RSC Mini Companies which will represent the school in the Cavan Enterprise Awards in the Slieve Russell hotel on March 7th.
Congratulations to Rachel Alexander, Sophie Reilly, Kelvin McNally, Lloyd Hastings, and Barry Stratford, on getting through to the semi-finals of The Certified Irish Angus Beef Schools Competition which will take place on Wednesday 14th March in Croke Park. Best of luck from all in The Royal School.
Well done to all our Carollers, and their teachers Ms. McQuaid, Ms. Tackney and Ms. Gray who braved the cold raising funds for Concern. A fast was also held earlier in the year for concern and a talk was given to TY pupils. The talk was given by Joanne Arnold who is the Schools and Youth Fundraising Officer for Concern Ireland. Joanne is a past pupil of the school and we were delighted to welcome her back.
