Booklist & Uniforms

The booklists and Uniform list can be found under PARENTS >> DOCUMENTS or directly from here.
Note: The Junior Cycle Book Scheme covers all books and classroom supplies mentioned on the booklist.You will still need to purchase some stationery items such as pens, pencils, pencil case etc.
Special note: Please ensure that you purchase black shoes for your child. Black runners are not acceptable. 

P.E. Uniform

Measurement & ordering of the P.E. uniform also took place on the night, if you missed this you can order online via the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Official O’Reilly Sportswear website. https://oreillysofficial.com/product/royal-school-cavan-bundle/ or call 085 2642397
  2. Type Royal School Cavan into the search bar. (If using a phone, click on the 3 lines at the top of the page and the search bar will appear).
  3. Select the Royal School Cavan Bundle option.
  4. Select which size t-shirt and which size 1/4 zip top you require. (Please note you have the option to add your child’s initials here at no extra cost, and this is strongly advised).
  5. Press add to basket and complete purchase.

School Transport

You can apply for a bus ticket for your child by clicking on the following link: https://www.buseireann.ie/apply-pay-for-school-transport (The closing date for on-time applications is Friday, 25 April 2025. The closing date for payments is Friday, 6 June 2025.)

Bus Eireann have stated that ethos forms part of the eligibility when assessing applications received from a family to their selected school. They also stated that an application, regardless if there is a service in place or not, can be submitted to Bus Eireann once the applicant is over the required distance of 4.8 kms and attending their nearest school of ethos. If there are 10 eligible applications in a distinct locality Bus Eireann can propose a new service to the school.

Easy Payments Plus (EPP)

EPP our online payment facility will shortly be set up. To watch a video on how to activate your account please click here.
The following payments are online for Form 1:

  • Locker & Insurance FORM 1, 2 & 3
  • Administration Fee 2025/26 ONE CHILD

Subject Choice

2 subjects must be chosen from the following list of subjects (information about each subject can be found by clicking on that subject below), it is important to select all 3 options when making your choices as it may not be possible to give everyone their preferred 2 choices. Your choices will be made via VSware. Deadline for this is 3rd April 2025. The closing date has now passed and VSware is no longer accepting options. Instead, please click here to record subject options.
