The information below is for all students entering Form 1 in 2026.

Your username (and details of how to set your password) will be sent via a text message from the school, to the number you provided when enrolling your child. The URL for the school is royalschoolcavan.vsware.ie.

Booklist & Uniforms

The booklists and Uniform list can be found under PARENTS >> DOCUMENTS or directly from here.
Note: The Junior Cycle Book Scheme covers all books and classroom supplies mentioned on the booklist. You will still need to purchase some stationery items such as pens, pencils, pencil case etc.
Special note: Please ensure that you purchase black shoes for your child. Black runners are not acceptable. 

P.E. Uniform

  1. Go to the Official O’Reilly Sportswear website. https://oreillysofficial.com/product/royal-school-cavan-bundle/ or call Kelsey on 085 171 4328
  2. Type Royal School Cavan into the search bar. (If using a phone, click on the 3 lines at the top of the page and the search bar will appear).
  3. Select the Royal School Cavan Bundle option.
  4. Select which size t-shirt and which size 1/4 zip top you require. (Please note you have the option to add your child’s initials here at no extra cost, and this is strongly advised).
  5. Press add to basket and complete purchase.

Chromebook

Slidedeck regarding Chromebooks is here. The Olive Chromebook Store is now live.

School Transport

Bus Éireann’s on-line application portal is now open. You can apply on-line to Bus Éireann at www.buseireann.ie/schooltransport.

The closing date for payments or entering medical card details is Friday, 8 May 2026. If you apply after the closing date, your application will be late and you may not get a ticket

Who needs to apply:

  • Students who have never applied for school transport.
  • Students starting junior infants or first year for the first time in the 2026/27school year.
  • Students changing home address or moving school in the 2026/27 school year.
  • All students who have arrived in Ireland from Ukraine, residing in accommodation centres, modular homes, with host families and independently and all students residing in IPAS/EROC centres.

Subject Choice

2 subjects must be chosen from the following list of subjects (information about each subject can be found by clicking on that subject below), it is important to select all 3 options when making your choices as it may not be possible to give everyone their preferred 2 choices. Your choices will be made via VSware. Deadline for this is 5th February 2026.
