dAffodil dAy
Daffodil Day is the Irish Cancer Society’s biggest annual
fundraiser. It is community based and raises funds for our free
nationwide patient care services and research. This will be its
27th consecutive year running having started in 1987.
This year our school decided to help raise money for this very
worthy cause. We decided that instead of selling daffodils we
should sell hot chocolate and cupcakes.
Ms Poyntz and some students spent hours making and icing
the delicious, mouth-watering cupcakes.
On Friday 28th of March a delicious cupcake and hot chocolate
were on sale at lunchtime for €2. The school raised a total of
€300 for this worthy cause.
