On Wednesday 11th September the second years travelled to the Mill Park
Hotel in Donegal to meet up with the other schools who had taken part in the
Breesy Way programme when we were in first year. We met up with the pupils
from St. Mogue’s in Bawnboy who we had spent the week with. The ceremony
started and we all received a certificate for completing the ‘Breesy Way.’
The guest speaker who presented our certificates was Brent Pope, a rugby
player from New Zealand who now appears on RTE’s panel for international
match coverage. He spoke of his struggle to overcome anxiety and nerves in
order to play for his country and he spoke broadly about his rugby career. He
was an inspirational speaker. After the ceremony we had the opportunity to get
                                              his autograph and take photographs.
It was a very enjoyable day. We had a lot of time to share experiences with other
schools and reflect on the lessons we had learned during our time in the Breesy
                                              Centre.
