RSCPPA School Open Night


          Following on from the school’s 400th Anniversary    developments in the school were noted by many, and all
          Celebrations on the 5th October, the Royal School Cavan   were suitably impressed by the advancement that has taken
          Past Pupils Association held a school open night on Friday   place since they were pupils.

                                                              A special word of thanks to the Committee Secretary, and
          Over 60 former pupils took the opportunity to see just how   current teacher, Isla Poyntz, for her work in setting up the
          much the school has changed in many aspects, and how   exhibits of photographs and memorabilia for the open-night,
          some things have remained just as they were during their   and for generally making sure that everything was in place for
          days.  As with the reunion in 2010, it was encouraging to see   what proved to be a very successful evening.   Finally, thanks
          past pupils from across the generations in attendance, as   to all of you who kindly donated photographs, letters, books,
          you will see from the pictures below.  Some had travelled   pieces of uniform etc to be put on display for the open-night,
          from the UK for the 400th Anniversary, and they stayed   it was very much appreciated by the Committee.
