                                                           Choir

The choir have been really busy again this year. We organised a very successful “Carols by
Candlelight” service that was held in Cavan Parish Church. We heard some beautiful music
especially from some of our soloists, Abigael Pierce, Kelly Cartwright, Jodie Chapman, Kate
Agaba, Esther Olujitan, Iona Ward, Conor Blaney, Maria Lynch and Danny McKeon.

We were privileged to be asked to perform in the Cathedral in Cavan along with the Cavan
Singers, the Cathedral Choir, the choirs from St. Patrick’s College Cavan, Loreto College and
Breifne College. It was an excellent performance by all and a massive thanks who all helped
organise it. It was an incredible experience.
On the 23rd of April we will be singing in the Courthouse in Cavan as part of the celebrations for
the commemoration of the 1916 Easter Rising. We will be singing along with the Cavan Singers
as the children’s accompaniment for the newly commissioned piece of music for the 1916
                         commemoration by Shaun Davey.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Ms Kavanagh and Ms Tackney for all their hard work
organising the events and giving up their time to get us together for choir practise after school.

                                                                                       Sophie Reilly
