The Aspirations Of
The Royal School Cavan
To the students of its faction
Students of The Royal School Cavan; through the hearts of our dead generations, and those who
fought for us in our past, we summon our very aspiration.
Having long been educated by our masters, who have brought for us a path of freedom and
prosperity, we thank in harmony. Having perfected our skills and discipline through the vigilance of
our arbiters, we now stride arm in arm to one’s destiny.
As dedicated students of The Royal School Cavan, we declare the right to be the power in our very
own futures, to excel and grow in our fields of profession. Furthermore, we claim the right to teaching
and guidance from our educators, to whom we look up to.
Furthermore, in succession to our education we long for a prosperous Republic of Ireland, where
the lands flow with job opportunities and development. Coupled with our advancements in
technological interest and curiosity, we are entitled to a brighter, safer Ireland, with improvements
in our nation’s health, transport and defence. Above all, we are grateful for what we have, however,
will never rest to until we earn the fruits of our labour.
Students, as ladies and gentlemen we are compelled by the force in our beating hearts to fight for
our futures, and most importantly, to win. We will not be stopped by minute cowardice, but will
instead take the fundamentals of this fear to fuel our ambition. We then hereby declare this fine
hour as one where we turned over a page in the book of our lives, into a chapter of discovery and
success.
Signed on behalf of the students of the Royal School Cavan:
