Pancake
Tuesday in aid
of The National
Children’s
Hospital.
Once again, this year on Pancake Tuesday, Ms.
Poyntz and her fifth year pupils donned their
aprons and set about creating a feast. This feast
was to raise money for The National Children’s
Hospital. They spent hours slaving over the hot
stoves to cook enough pancakes to feed an
army!!
As soon as the lunch bell rang, a queue of
hungry pupils formed outside her kitchen.
They were not disappointed. Mr. Corley was on
hand to show his pancake tossing skills (which
he had spent the morning perfecting!!!!).They
were treated to delicious pancakes with an
unending supply of savoury and sweet filling,
not to mention the delicious hot chocolate to
wash them all down.
The money raised goes towards the purchase
of equipment, distraction toys for wards,
departments and waiting areas, support
research and development into new and better
treatments and provide accommodation and
other support services for families.
This year we raised € 369. A big thank you to
everyone who helped make this a huge success.
