Magazine Cover

When we were asked to design a cover for the school magazine to mark its 400th
anniversary, all I knew was that my design should convey the characteristics that
our school holds.
The cover consists of looking in through the front door which leads to the girl’s
dorms and also the main entrance the school. This signifies that after 400 years
the Royal School Cavan still receives both boarders and day pupils with open arms.
I chose a purple boarder around my design because purple signifies power and I
think that represents the school very well and also purple is universal which shows
our school is mixed.
Finally, the new school crest makes reappearance on the cover because it shows
the rebirth of our school after 400 years we are all trying to reinvent ourselves
and change things up. For 400 years the school has continued to prepare for their
students future.
