Pye Programme - Peer Ed

For the last couple of years a number of Transition Years from the school
have taken part in the Pye Programme to become peer educators. This year
Sara Whitley, Killian Tubman, Michael Wilson
and I went down to the Bridge Street Centre
for five school days training spread out over a
couple of months.

During these training days we learned all
about peer pressure, drugs, smoking and
alcohol, we then came back to the school
to deliver the five classes back to the first
year SPHE classes. It was a very enjoyable
experience as we were taught the information
in an informal, fun environment along with
some of our friends from other schools.
