Sports & Activities
Physical activity is undertaken at two distinct levels at the school.
Competetive level:
This is where pupils represent the school at various levels and in inter school competitions.
Non competitive level:
Here pupils are encouraged to participate in physical activity at their own pace in a non competitive environment. We look upon this as promoting a healthy lifestyle and hope that the good habits picked up in school will continue into adult life, thus reducing the risk of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and other illnesses which beset our society.
These activities include power walking and sports in a non competitive environment, eg. Hockey, table tennis, swimming, badminton, pool etc. All pupils are encouraged to take part in physical activity at whatever level they are comfortable at.
Soccer:
The school enters three boys teams at under 14, 16 and senior levels in the Cavan/Monaghan section of the Ulster competition. There is also an under 18 girls team
which is entered in the Leinster league and cup. House leagues are also organised for those who wish to participate.
Hockey:
The school enters both junior and senior girls hockey teams in the Leinster leagues. Boys play hockey but not at a competitive level.
Badminton:
The school plays in the Cavan championships.

The shcool enters under 14 and 19 boys and girls teams into the Ulster leagues and cups.
